Members-elect have endorsed Benjamin Kalu, the APC’s candidate for deputy speaker of the House of Representatives in the 10th National Assembly.
While Kalu won the position of Deputy Speaker of the House without opposition, Tajudeen Abbas, the newly elected Speaker, faced competition from two other candidates.
The Clerk to the National Assembly, Sani Tambuwal, confirmed that there were no additional nominations for the position and immediately swore Kalu in as Deputy Speaker.
