10th NASS Nasarawa Federal Law makers condole NSUK management decease families

Saddened by the lost of two illustrious daughters of Nasarawa State and students of the Nasarawa State University, keffi who died in a stampede while scrambling for state government palliative last Friday, federal lawmakers in the state have express shocked and condole with the management of the university as well as the deceased families.

The lawmakers paid the condolence visit to the university management on Monday at keffi and were received by the varsity outgoing vice chancellor professor Suleiman Bala Mohammed.

Honourable Gaza Jonathan Gbefwi ,leader of the delegation of the tenth National Assembly legislators from Nasarawa state asserted that their visit to the university as federal lawmakers in the state was to condole and console the university management and by extension the families of the two female students .

Leader of the delegation of the nasarawa state 10th Assembly federal lawmakers , Gaza Gbefwi in an interview with journalists after their brief meeting with top management of the university said it is no doubt that not just the university but the entire state was thrown into state of mourning where two souls were lost at an event which was designed to have been joyful ceremony.

He said” We did not just lost the two souls but one among the deceased was with a child. So the cacaus of the Nasarawa State tenth assembly of the house of representative in the national assembly decided to come and pay a condolence visit to the university and also representatives of the deceased families.

” We are elected to serve not only for good times but also in times of grieves and that is why we have come at such s time . And of course we came along with a friend of Nasarawa State in the person of honourable Bello from sokoto. So this is why we are here” Gaza Said.

He urged the immediate families and the university management to take solace in the word of God, saying this should not deter them from pursuing education , instead the dead of the two ladies should serve as a seed to conquer this thing called education and to be more resilient about western education.

Those in the delegation include Honourable Abdulmumini Ari, Nalaraba and honourable Sarki, accompanied by former state legislators.
