12 injured as Russia attack two Ukrainian cities

Russian drones struck Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital, and Mykolaiv, a city in the south, overnight, injuring at least 12 people.

According to the Kyiv city military administration, drones caused damage to residential buildings and started a fire at a storage facility in the capital, injuring two women.

85 of the 145 drones that Russia launched during its nocturnal raid were repulsed by the Ukrainian air force, which also reported that 49 more drones failed to reach their targets, most likely as a result of electronic warfare countermeasures.

But it didn’t say what happened to the other eleven drones.

In the southern city of Mykolaiv, the nocturnal attack also left 10 people injured, according to regional governor Vitalii Kim. The Russian strike reportedly caused damage to an administrative building, 30 garages, and nine apartment complexes.

Although Russia denies attacking people, their invasion of Ukraine has resulted in thousands of deaths and injuries.
