Ondo: Akeredolu Is Sworn Into Office

Governor-elect of Ondo State’s past governorship election, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has been sworn in on Wednesday for his second term in office.

The swearing in ceremony held at the International Culture and Event Centre in the state capital, Akure.

Akeredolu was declared winner of the October 10 elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission alongside.

His running mate, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, also took the oath of office, although this was his first time.

Akeredolu who was a candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was victorious in 15 local government areas of the state out of the 18. His major opponent, Eyitayo Jegede, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate won in the remaining 3 local governments.
