The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) seem to be prepared to takeover the affairs of Zamfara come 2023 general elections following massive defection from the ruling APC to the opposition on a daily basis.
The latest defectors include the over 45 political appointees who decamped to PDP 48 hours ago.
The decampees, mostly senior special assistants and special assistants (SSAs and SAs) respectively, were received by the gubernatorial candidate of the party, Dr. Dauda Lawan Dare at his residence under the leadership of the former deputy chairman of the APC Alh. Musa Mallaha .
Receiving the decampees, Dr. Dauda Lawan after expressing his happiness over the development also assured them of  recognition in the campaign train as well as all other activities of the party.
”As from today and now, you are like every other member of the great party of ours, PDP what we want now from you and the rest of the members of your family, friends and well wishers is to prepare your voter cards so that we will come out victoriously, revealed Dauda.
According to Dauda who was also emotional, ” the mission of the PDP in the state is to among other things, rescue it from the hands of bandits and to make sure that every child is educated across the state. It is the responsibility of the government to among sure that its people are educated to wipe away illiteracy among them and this is what we are going to do by the grace of God as soon as we come to power in the state. I have already said my agenda under which I will work and successfully transform our dear state in all remmifications, added Dauda.
One of the decampees who spoke on behalf of his colleagues Malan Bashir Muhammad, who before that time was a senior special assistant (SSA) to the governor of the state explained that they decided to join the opposition PDP for a number of reasons among which was the zeal and determination they saw in the person of Dauda Lawan.
He also disclosed that it has become opened that only Dauda can lead zamfara with total maturity as according to him, Zamfara is currently in the hands of people that are irresponsible who do not know even what both government and leadership are all about.
Said he, if you look at the whole thing you will be surprise that the entire state has fallen in the hands of amateur the people that have lost direction and virtually overtaken by mostly under aged ones Bashir stated.
All the 47 political appointees who decamped to PDP came along with their appointment letters which they tendered before the gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Dauda Lawan.
