2023: Anyichuks calls on electorate to register for PVC

By Bevelyn Ehia, Abakaliki

The Ebonyi state Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship candidate, Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, weekend called on electorate in the state to avail themselves of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the 2023 polls.

Odii who is popularly known as AnyiChuks gave the advise during the inauguration of his campaign office in Abakaliki.

He said that the permanent voters card remains the power and the right to vote for the right candidate come 2023 general elections.

Odii maintained that the election would be a win-win issue for PDP and urged members to be united.

He said,”I thank the three-man delegates for choosing me during the primaries. I urge all aggrieved members of our party to embrace peace to win at all levels in the general elections.

“Politics of not united will only slow us down over the strategies to win during the election, but we shall overcome them. Let us come together in solidarity with a common purpose.

“The goal is to create wealth for the people, which I have been doing. We can transform Ebonyi together and we can do it come 2023.

“I am committed to diversifying the state economy and the improvement of human empowerment for the people if elected as governor.

“To the electorates, go and get your PVC and on the day of the election, you go out and cast your vote and I believe your vote will surely count.

Sen Igwe Nwagu, Odii’s running mate also stated the need for PVC and urged the people to ensure that they are registered to vote.

“In 2023, our vote must surely count. The era of rigging is over when comparing what happened in the Ekiti state election. We will win and we are not going to be intimidated by any group or party.

“My joint ticket with the Odii is well planned and we shall strengthen true governance to Ebonyi people come 2023,” Nwagu said.

Mr. Solomon Onwe, Director-General, AnyiChuks Campaign Organisation said the importance of PVC to the forthcoming general elections could not be over-emphasized.

We urged the stakeholders at the community level not to relent in sensitizing the public on voter card registration.

Mr. Kelechi Igwe, Chairman, Nigeria Youth Organisation (NYO), Ebonyi chapter pledged to deepen sensitization on voters card registration at the grassroots.
