2023: At last, Orubebe joins APC

Former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Peter Orubebe, has joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State.

It was gathered that Orubebe on Thursday, met with leaders of APC in Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State, and informed them of his membership of the party.

Orubebe noted that he joined APC to deliver the party, especially the APC House of Representatives and two House of Assembly candidates in Burutu Local Government Area, and assured that resources needed for the 2023 elections will be provided.

He sympathized with the Ijaw APC family for not accorded any appointment so far, but promised to make sure what is due Ijaw people will be secured.

Orubebe also charged leaders of APC to prepare for constant meetings that will be rotated among the local communities in the area.

The APC Chairman, Burutu Local Government Area, Comrade Moni Seikemiengha, thank Orubebe for joining the party.

He expressed confidence that Orubebe’s joining the APC is a big plus to the party, expressing hope that Ijaw in Delta State now have a high ranking politician in the ruling APC that will stand in the gap.

Also, Coleman Timi, a chieftain of APC in the area, confirmed the development to our Correspondent on Friday, and commended Orubebe for joining the APC.

The former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Orubebe, had resigned his membership from the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, in June, over the emergence of a Northern presidential candidate in the party and among other irregularities in the party.
