2023: Bindow joins Adamawa guber race under APC

Sen. Jirilla Bindow, a former governor of Adamawa, has joined the governorship race in the state on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).
Bindow said this when he spoke with newsmen on Monday in Yola saying that he has finally resolved to re-contest and complete his second term in office.
He said that all APC governorship aspirants were qualified and urged them to give him chance to continue from where he stopped for more development.
Bindow appealed to the electorate to give him the opportunity to serve the state for a second term.
“I did a lot in the state when I was governor and I have many plans for the state, if hopefully reelected in 2023” he said.
In his remarks, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, the state APC Chairman called for unity of the party.
He advised all aspirants to work in unity and harmony towards achieving a common goal of winning the state in 2023.
“We want you to understand your selves unite yourselves for the progress of the party ahead of 2023 general elections, ”he said.
Bindow was elected as the state governor in 2015 before losing his second term bid in 2019 to the incumbent Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
