Youths in Delta South senatorial district, Delta State, have called on former Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan to represent the district at the National Assembly in 2023.
The former Governor, Uduaghan, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, was the Delta South Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC in 2019 general.
But, after the election, he moved back to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Delta State.
The youth’s group, known as Nigeria Youth Movement for Good Governance, in a statement made available to newsmen in Warri, urged the people of Delta south to support Uduaghan to represent the district at the Senate come 2023.
The statement signed by Hon. Eniye Mathew Sawacha, National Coordinator, Comrade Paul Akpowaide, Secretary; Comrade Edirin Okene, Public Relations Officer and Mr. Buwa Tsemaye Assistant Secretary, the youths acknowledged that Delta South Senatorial District truly needs a positive change in the Red Chambers in Abuja.
”Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan as a former Governor of Delta State, has been tested and trusted. He has the capability and credibility to provide quality representation and also attracts the desired developments to communities in Delta South Senatorial District”.
They urged the people of Delta South Senatorial District to throw their weight behind Dr. Uduaghan for Senate because the former Governor had successfully proven his capacity.
”The former Governor constructed the Effurun and Asaba Flyovers to ease traffic at Effurun and Inter- Junction at Asaba respectively. It is on record that the popular Agbada Olomu Bridge commenced by Ibori was completed by Dr Uduaghan”.
Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan was Commissioner for Health, and Secretary to State Government SSG and later became Governor of Delta state between 2007-2015.
