2023: I will ensure projects and programmes of past administrations are not abandoned, says Augoye

A governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP from Okpe Local Government Area, Delta State, Chief James Augoye has vowed to ensure projects and programmes of past administrations are not abandoned.

Augoye, a two-time former Commissioner for Works, spoke to a newsman at the new year get-together of Delta Political Vanguard (DPV) held weekend at Government Field, Boji-Boji, Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of the State.

He said since the government is a continuum, he would not be leaving projects and programmes of past administrations to rot.

“Having traversed the State as Commissioner for Works twice, I have seen first-hand challenges Deltans are passing through. I have solutions to the challenges”.

“Past administrations have done so well to address some of these challenges, and in the process, contributing immensely to the growth and development of the State”.

“Especially, the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, my boss, has done very well in this regard. But, there is more work to be done. Rome, they say, was not built in a day”.

“Since the government is a continuum, and when given the opportunity to serve the State in the capacity of governor, I will ensure projects and programmes of past administrations are not abandoned”.

“In due course, I will be unveiling my manifesto so that Deltans can see how well I have articulated some of the challenges facing the State, and the solutions I have to tackle these challenges”.
