The Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, has at last, declared that he is not against the candidature of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar
Ortom, who had earlier declined to recognize the former vice president as his presidential candidate, following his choice of Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, as his running mate, as against Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike, who was widely supported by the PDP Governors, stated that he has accepted Atiku as his presidential candidate, adding that the disagreements have been things in the past
The Benue state Governor made his position know on Monday, via his Twitter handle, saying “I will not contradict @atiku on what he said. He is my candidate and I am behind him. Whatever happened in the course of the primary and nomination of the presidential running mate is now a thing of the past. The PDP is a family, and we will always settle our matters in-house.”
