5 Nigerian athletes qualify for World Championships in Glasgow: Amusan, Ofili sure bet

Five Nigerian athletes have qualified for the 2024 world Indoor Championship in Glasgow, Scotland.

Nigerian World 100m hurdles Champion Tobi Amusan, was able to get the qualification from her outdoor performance at Tom Jones Invitational in Gainesville Florida, some days ago, she ran 12.59s out of the 12.80s standard unveiled by the World Athletics in the 100m hurdles.

 

Tobi Amusan with 12.12s will be competing for the podium finishing, with other 48 athletes in Glasgow.

Other Nigerian athletes got their qualifications through the NCAA Indoor Circuit, making personal bests, Rosemary Chukwuma ran 7.09s, becoming the seventh Nigerian to break the 7.10s, and Favor Ofili ran 7.14s to qualify.

Other two Nigerians male that got qualified, namely Favour Ashe and Ezekiel Nathaniel.
