President Joe Biden’s support for the transgender community has been reaffirmed by the White House.
This development follows Pope Francis’s Monday proclamation against gender theory.
According to Fox News, Karine Jean-Pierre, the press secretary for the White House, fielded inquiries regarding Pope Francis’s statement denouncing gender theory.
In his declaration released on Monday, the Pope formally restates and elaborates on the Catholic Church’s teaching that attempts to change a person’s innate gender are ultimately foolish attempts to play god.
Jean-Pierre stated that he does support the transgender population but declined to comment on Biden’s exact thoughts on the text.
It is pleasing to observe that the declaration has reinforced the Vatican’s appeal for the protection of LGBTQ+ individuals from abuse and incarceration worldwide.
But according to Jean-Pierre, “the president will always stand up for the safety, rights, and dignity of the LGBTQ+ community, including transgender people living in the United States.”
A reporter questioned, “What about the more detailed remarks about gender theory and transgender people?”
“I’m going to use extreme caution. It is not the president’s responsibility to litigate internal Church policy, so I will proceed with extreme caution in that regard, Jean-Pierre declared.
“However, I can discuss the president’s position, and he has been very clear from the beginning of his administration about how important it is to protect or have protections for the transgender community as well as the larger LGBTQ+ community.”
According to the Daily Post, the publication “Dignitas Infinita” examined more than a dozen contemporary issues—such as abortion, human trafficking, poverty, euthanasia, the death penalty, and more—through the prism of biblical text and church doctrine.
The Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith (DDF) spent more than five years developing the paper, which was finally issued. Its main topic is contemporary dangers to human dignity.
