Zubby Michael, a coworker, came under fire from Nollywood actress Angela Okorie for announcing his donation to the family of their late colleague, Junior Pope.
According to a video that shows Michael donating to Junior Pope’s widow Jennifer Awele and their kids went popular on social media.
In response, Okorie chastised Michael for donating “on camera.”
She pointed out that it is inappropriate to show off wealth at a young person’s funeral.
“Zubby na young person die, that showcase of money wasn’t necessary,” she posted on her Instagram story. But you lack common sense, being the village kid that you are. You have no idea where to act appropriately and where to put on a show.

Junior Pope and three other people perished on April 10, 2024, when their boat overturned on the Anam River in Anambra State as they were returning from a filming location.
Last Friday, he was buried in his birthplace of Ukehe in the Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State.
