The Commissioner of Police, Airport Command, CP Aminu Baba Raji psc, is assuring the good prospective air travellers and airport workers across the country full security on June 12, Democracy Day as he emplaces security measures for individuals and groups that are planning to engage in protest.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining public order and safety during the national holiday, while also respecting the citizens’ right to peaceful assembly.
The Commissioner, while briefing his management team, DPOs and HoDs in his office today tasked them to remain vigilant and be committed to protecting the rights and freedom of all citizens while ensuring the security and stability of our airports users.
The CP reiterated that any individuals or groups found to be inciting violence or engaging in unlawful activities will be made to face the full wrath of the law.
In the same vein, he implored them to be civil while performing their lawful duties as he highlighted the critical role of the Command in ensuring a safe and secure airport environment for all.
The Commissioner further enjoins airport users, stakeholders and all to continue to be law abiding, vigilant, and promptly report suspected criminals and their activities in and around airports to any nearest airport Police station, or alternatively, call complaint help lines 08033035204 and WhatsApp 08188202185.
