The federal government of Nigeria has been urged to remove all roadblocks in Southeast and Biafra territories by the Biafra Republic Government In-Exile.
Speaking in an X space on Wednesday, Simon Ekpa, also known as the Prime Minister of BRGIE, revealed this in a statement.
He claimed that because Nigerian militarization of the area was to fault for the current conflict in the southeast.
He made it clear that the Nigerian government should demilitarize the southeast because Biafrans want to see long-lasting peace in their area.
“We oppose the militarization of Biafra by the Nigerian government. The Nigerian government is to blame for those who say we are violent.
“We are defending ourselves while they brought violence.” He declared, “We demand the removal of all military personnel and checkpoints in Biafra territory.”
Remember how the Nigerian security forces killed five soldiers in Aba on May 30 as they launched a manhunt for unidentified gunmen?
In response to the murders, Abia State Governor Alex Oti offered a N25 million reward for the perpetrators.
Still missing, though, is the person responsible for the murders.
