The President General (PG), Abuja the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter of Anambra State Towns Association (ASTPA), Chief Arinze Anadu (Nwachinemelu) has advised the political parties and their candidates that participated in the recently conducted Local Government Area (LGA) in the State to shun political differences and collaborate for the interest of the state’s development.
Anadu gave the advice in his office in the nation’s capital as his 2024 independence celebration message to his people
Though winners and losers emerged at the election, but still appealing for cordial relationship and collaboration between parties and candidates, for the interest of the state and its citizens, the PG said that nobody should be seen as the winner or the vanquished.
Nigeria has Tuesday marked her independence from her colonial master and like every other local governments in the country, the state has last week conducted LGA elections, in line with the recent Supreme Court’s judgement.
Calling on indigenes of the state, within and outside the FCT to be prayerful, which if done will go a long way in addressing the economic hardship in the state and the country in general, the Nwachinemelu also enjoined them to be their neighbors and every Anambra indigene as his his/her keeper. As people known for business transaction, all over the world, he advised them to ensure that they strictly go about their trades in line with the law, as well as with the fear of God.
Commending Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of the state for ensuring that election was peacefully conducted in Anambra State, Sir Arinze Anadu therefore urged him to keep the pace at which he is governing the people of the state
The PG however hailed the appointment of Dr Law Mefor by the governor, saying that as the new information commissioner, he would deliver, based on his pedigree. He also enjoined the new commissioner to leave up to expectation, having been at the helm of affairs in similar positions.
