The Head scout and assistant coach of Gulf united football club UAE Division one,Marcello Anyanwu has called for the inclusion of Nigeria players in UAE league in Nigeria national team squad ,
Speaking to our reporter from his base in UAE the former NFF presidential Aspirant said Nigeria players plying their trade in UAE, League are topnotch.
The IMO state born tactician insisted that the UAE league is on the rise, and Nigeria players are doing exceptionally well. He called on the NFF scouts to beam their search light in UAE league and invite some of the best legs in the league to the national team, In the past we have seen players from Chinese league, Saudi Arabia league , lower league in England, and Tunisia league invited to national team, we are yet to see a single player from UAE league invited to a friendly game for national team.
”It will be great and amazing if one or two Nigeria players playing in UAE league are selected to represent the County in Afcon 2025 in Morrocco.
I am a league coach,I play league every week here in UAE,
I can bet it with you, we have some outstanding players here that can compete in our National Side,” Marcelo concluded.
