The Nigeria Police Force has approved a new dressing code for female police officers, including wearing of studs, and use of Hijab by Muslim female police officers.
The approved dress code are mini Hijab, studs, designated hand bags and designated women shoes.
In a statement obtained by the New National Star: “Women who wish to use the above mentioned accoutrement, to strictly abide to the above description, pending publication of force order”
However such accoutrements, mentioned above are optional, the statement added.
Efforts to reach the Force Public Relations Officer FPRO, has been abortive as at the time of filing this report.
This is coming at a time faith based schools are clamping on Hijab.
