2023: Ohaneze warns Nigerians against deception by presidential aspirants

Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Monday, warned Nigerians of politicians who claim that youths or friends purchased presidential forms for them.
Secretary General of the group, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, described such politicians as scammers saying that no youth in the country, especially those trying to survive, would bring out its money to give politicians, not to talk of buying forms for them.
Isiguzoro, in a statement, warned Nigerians to be wary of the current deceitful tricks from political.
The statement reads, “Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has alerted Nigerians to be wary of the current deceitful tricks now in vogue aimed at ridiculously mocking the intelligence of Nigerians. The dramatic increase in the purchases of Presidential nomination forms of political parties for politicians in contests for 2023 is a subterfuge, and deception as no Nigerian youth can afford to pay exorbitant fees for politicians who have destroyed the future of the younger generation with huge deficits and debts, external borrowing and squandermania of the nation’s Treasury.
“Nigeria has the right to prevail over egotistical leaders, with the signing of the new Electoral Law, and hope for credible elections and a transparent transition process. It’s time for massive registration of voters cards by Nigerians especially Ndigbo.
“We are bestowed with the obligations to update our people scattered across the country in 774 LGAs, that there is fresh hope that your votes will count in 2023.
“We are aware of the loss of interests in the elections since 1999, and corrupt politicians had capitalized on the apathy of Nigerians to impose unpopular and corrupt politicians on Nigerians in connivance with INEC and security agents. Igbos should get their PVCs ready and chase away hypocrites and impostors in power.
“We are aware of the fact that in 2011 Igbos won two Federal seats and the House of Assembly seats in Lagos, but in 2015 and 2019 with the loopholes in the electoral process, there was coercion and oppression against Ndigbo in Lagos, but the scenario will be different in 2023.
” We are excited to inform Ndigbo to stop the boycott and participate in 2023 election in every Ward they find themselves across the country. We have the numerical strength to push for a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction in 2023. We will get it right now, but it starts with the registration of Voters card. IPOB and MASSOB members should get their own for elections and future referendum.”
