By Beverly Ehia, Abakaliki

Chief Ogboji John Ogbonnaya, the Chairman Umudomi ward of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Onicha local government area of Ebonyi State, Monday, dismissed the suspension and expulsion of Mrs. Ann Agom-Eze from the party by Ebonyi South Zone of the party.

Agom-Eze has been in court over Ebonyi South Senatorial ticket of the party where she is challenging Governor Dave Umahi over the ticket.

Recall that Ebonyi South Zone of the party rose from its meeting on Saturday, suspending Agomeze and expelling her from the party for alleged gross misconduct.

However, in a statement he personally signed, Ogbonnaya said the purported suspension is the handiwork of mischief makers.

He said: “The attention of the Al Progress Congress Party (APC) Umudomi Ward, Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, has been drawn to a purported suspension/Expulsion of Princess Ann Nwanyibuife Agom-Eze from the Party at the Ward level.

“I want to use this medium to categorically state that the rumours of her suspension/expulsion are all false as such has never happened in Umudomi Ward.

“Since the matter is in the Appeal Court and we have received an Appeal Court injunction to that effect. Hence, restraining us from suspending anybody until the Court determined.

“I hereby urge the general public to disregard such rumour as Umudomi Ward of the All Progressives Congress Party (APC) are peace loving people Thanks for your co-operation.”
