Keffi Local Government Area chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Baba Shehu, has said the second bid of Engineer Abdullahi Sule, the incumbent governor of the state, is non negotiable.
Shehu stated this on Tuesday in the council chambers when he swore in the council secretary ,clerk of the legislative arm and two senior special advisers.
The Keffi local government council chairman challenged the new appointees and indeed all citizens of Keffi to “Ask not what Keffi will do for them, but seek first, what they can do for Keffi”.
He said: “The implication of this statement is that we have no any other place of ours than Keffi and all hands must be on deck to move this Local Government Area to greater heights.
” It will interest you to know that, in spite of the meager resources accrueing to Nasarawa State coffers, it is beyond every reasonable doubt that His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule has set a landmark precedent in Keffi town and the State at large that historians and posterity will revere as a turning point in terms of dividends of democracy as it affects the citizens.
“For instance, we are all aware that here in Keffi, gigantic projects executed and some ongoing projects being executed by the Governor include (i) The Keffi Neighbourhood Market (ii) Construction of the Antau Bridge (iii) Ongoing construction of Bridge near Audu Namalama’s House, (iv) Ongoing construction and expansion of dual roads within the Keffi metropolis and many others.”
