The well-known American rapper Kanye Omari West, better known by his stage as Ye or Kanye West, has now apologized in public to the Jewish community for his remarks that were considered anti-Semitic.
This occurs one year after the artist, who showed off his controversial White Lives Matter shirts at his Paris Fashion Week display, proclaimed war on the Jewish community.
According to the Daily Post, Kanye lost his billionaire title in October 2022 after losing out on lucrative contracts with Adidas and Balenciaga.
He was also prohibited from using the X platform and Instagram after tweeting that he would “go death on 3 on Jewish people.”
On Tuesday, December 26, 2023, the 46-year-old, however, shared a fresh update on his Instagram page: “I sincerely apologise to the Jewish community for any unintentional outburst caused by my words or actions.” The remark was written in Hebrew.
“I sincerely apologize for any hurt I may have caused. It was not my intention to hurt or degrade.” In order to assure more sensitivity and understanding in the future, I’m determined to start with myself and learn from this experience.
“I value your forgiveness and am dedicated to fostering harmony and making apologies.”
