Gov Alia– Those who served in our armed forces We must take care them

Nigerians have been tasked by Benue State Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia with making sure that the military veterans of their nation are taken care of.

He made the statement at the Benue State Christian Association of Nigeria, or CAN, and the state government’s 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Interdenominational service, which took place on Sunday at the Chapel of Grace, Government House Makurdi.

He claimed that the only way for individuals who have given their lives in the line of duty to protect the nation to move on from their painful service-related experiences is to provide for their needs.

Governor Alia asked for prayers for the surviving officers’ families, stating that the nation’s remaining residents are secure because to their bravery and sacrifices.

According to him, the purpose of Armed Forces Remembrance Day is to honor the Armed Forces’ services and steadfast dedication to national security.

In remembrance of the fallen heroes, he urged the populace to take advantage of the occasion to maintain peace in the nation and state.

Bishop Wilfred Anagbe, the chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and Yiman Orkwagh, the archbishop of All Nations Evangelism Ministry, stated in their statements that Nigerians have a particular place in their hearts for the Nigerian Armed Forces Remembrance Day because it serves as a reminder of the people of the military troops’ noble sacrifices.
