Fourth mainland bridge, Sanwo-Olu may turn sod in March.

According to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his administration is working feverishly to hold the eagerly anticipated Fourth Mainland Bridge groundbreaking in March or April of 2024.
This was said by Sanwo-Olu yesterday at the Lagos West Senatorial District Town Hall Meeting in Ikeja, where he was speaking to locals and stakeholders.

The Lagos State House of Assembly representative, Mudashiru Obasa, the deputy governor, captain of industries, party chieftains, traditional rulers, members of the state executive council, and leaders of community development associations were among the dignitaries present at the well-attended event.
“We have done extensive work on the bridge,” declared the governor. However, we are at a loss as to where to find the actual funding.

We’ll have to think beyond the box.

“We commit to beginning the construction of the Fourth Mainland Bridge within this first quarter, which means by the end of March or April.”There aren’t many of the structures that will be demolished to make room for the Fourth Mainland Bridge, and the affected landlords and tenants will receive compensation.

“We want to get started and not make excuses once more.”
Sanwo-Olu further stated that N50 billion had been allocated and will be given to the state’s most vulnerable citizens in order to lessen the impact of the hard economic climate, lift people out of poverty, and assist Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs).

He declared that “we have been distracted by the court cases,” but that they were still dedicated to expanding and improving the state.

“The town hall is part of the open door policy of the Sanwo-Olu administration and his passion to deliver good governance to the residents,” stated Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, the commissioner for information and strategy, earlier.

“Mr. Governor has a distinct and successful administrative style. He manages the government in a manner similar to that of a business, with several shareholders who invest in the company and anticipate receiving big dividends at the conclusion of each fiscal year. Stated differently, “This is our yearly general assembly,” he declared.
