A renowned Service industralist who is the current National President of the Association of property managers of Nigeria, Amb. Dr. David Tyomanger has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to as a matter of urgency review the RANCHES IMPLICATION COMMITTEE which was set up by then Goodluck Jonathan administration to established cattle ranches in all the 36 states and the FCT.
Dr. Tyomanger who is also The Executive Chairman of Jamatah Group West Africa Ltd. Abuja-FCT stated this while making his contribution at this year’s National security conference, @ The NAF conference centre Kado, Abuja-FCT yesterday.
He further said, he is not just talking as a participant but as a core victim of insecurity as he has not visited his ancestral village in Gwerwest Local Govt. Area for the past five years and still counting owing to the fact that FULANI TERRORIST who usually disguise themselves as HERDERS have taken over the entire IHYAREV Community of GWERWEST, MAKURDI & GUMA Local Govt. Areas of Benue state.
The APMAN President particularly called on PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU not to contemplate going ahead with the then President Buhari’s RUGA or COW GRAZING ROUTE PROGRAM as population density and advancement has far out way this primitive idea of animal husbandry business as only ranching can stem the tide.
Saying there’s nothing much anyone can say than letting everyone who cares to listen knows that OPEN GRAZING IS AN OUTDATED AND ARCHAIC PRACTICE FOR ANIMAL HUSBANDRY BUSINESS NOMADIC FARMING HAS NO PLACE IN MODERN AGRICULTURE.
NIGERIA HERDERS SHOULD THEREFORE LEARN TO EMBRACE RANCHING AS THE ONLY KNOWN ADVANCE METHOD FOR ANIMAL HUSBANDRY BUSINESS AS THAT IS THE INTERNATIONAL BEST PRACTICES ALL OVER THE WORLD AND NIGERIA WHO BRANDED HERSELF AS THE GIANT OF AFRICA CAN NOT BE AN EXCEPTION.
He further pleaded with the FULANI elites to sincerely educate their kinsmen of the need to embrace cattle ranching as the only way to go!
Yours sincerely,
*Amb. Dr. David Tyomanger*
