ABIA: Extortion land’s Education Director In Trouble

The Governor of Abia state Dr. Okezie IKPEAZU has directed the suspension of one Wogu Alozie a director in the ministry of education for collecting levies not approved by the state government.
This was made public in a special government announcement signed by professor A.C.B Agbazuere, the chief of staff to the governor.
The release said that Mr. Wogu Alozie a director in the ministry of education, wrote letters to primary and secondary Schools in the state collecting the sum five hundred naira from every student.
The Governor who was disturbed by this development,has directed for a full investigation so as to uncover all those behind the illict act of Extortion.
“All those who pad salaries, hide under the cover of government to defraud people or engage in other forms of corruption are advised in their own interest to have a rethink or be prepared to taste the sour Waters of the law”, the release added.
Meanwhile Mr.Wogu Alozie who signed a letter for the permanent secretary with out the consent of the permanent secretary has owned up to the illict act and is presently helping the police to unmask others behind the act.
