President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, according to Minister of electricity Adebayo Adelabu, cannot resolve the issues facing the electricity industry that date back fifty years in a single year.
In an interview with Channels Television on Thursday, Adelabu revealed this.
He claimed that the administration is steadily and progressively addressing the problems facing the electricity industry.
“The issue we are facing is a result of over 50 years of accumulation; it won’t go away in a year, but we’ve been making steady, slow progress,” he stated.
In light of the recent increase in electricity rates for Band A users, he made this observation.
Nigerians, particularly the Organized Labor Unions, were furious and dissatisfied with the pricing hike and were demanding a reversal.
