African Games: NOC Applauds Performance of Team Nigeria

The amazing performance of Team Nigeria at the just finished 13th African Games in Ghana was praised by the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) on Monday.
In a statement, Tony Nezianya, the NOC’s public relations officer, thanked Team Nigeria, the media, and the government for their selfless sacrifices in making the games an unforgettable occasion.
Team Nigeria collected 120 medals, including 47 gold, 33 silver, and 40 bronze, to finish second behind Egypt, the victors.

He remarked, “The NOC extends its heartfelt commendation to every member of Team Nigeria for the performance at the African Games with immense pleasure and great admiration.”
In the announcement, NOC President Habu Gumel remarked that the team’s overall second place resulted from their commitment and diligence.

Your extraordinary accomplishments and unrelenting commitment throughout these Games have greatly elevated our country.

“The 13th African Games are unique in history because they are being held in three cities for the first time since the Games’ founding in 1965: Kumasi, Cape Coast, and Accra.”Athletes from all around the continent were able to display their talent and unity on this extraordinary event.Although Team Nigeria finished in a respectable second position overall, trailing only Egypt, it is your extraordinary achievements and unwavering quest for perfection that have won our hearts.Throughout the competition, you showed steadfast commitment, tenacity, and the genuine spirit of sportsmanship.

“We would like to convey our sincere gratitude to all of the athletes, coaches, and sports journalists from Nigeria who collaborated to make the Games a success.”Your unwavering devotion, cooperation, and hard work made a lasting impression on the history of the Games by helping to organize and carry out the activities with ease.
“We also need to recognize and express our gratitude to the Government, especially to Minister Sen. John Enoh, for his unwavering support and dedication in guaranteeing the well-being of the athletes and officials,” the speaker stated.
According to Gumel, the Sports Minister’s steadfast commitment and efforts to keep his word demonstrated his sincere care for the welfare of Nigerian athletes.

“Team Nigeria, you have inspired and demonstrated the enormous talent and potential that exists within our wonderful country with your outstanding performances at the 13th African Games.”Along with pride, your outstanding performance has given Nigerian sportsmen new hope and optimism for the future.Even if there are difficulties along the way to success, your unwavering resolve, self-control, and collaboration allowed you to get over them and achieve new heights.

Gumel stated that Team Nigeria had brought pride to the nation and that stronger results were expected in upcoming contests.
