Amuneke named new Heartland manager

 

Amid unconfirmed reportof its purchase of the slot of lagos based Beyond Limit FC to stage a return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Heartland FC of Owerri has appointed former Nigeria U17 and U20 team coach, Emmanuerl Amuneke as its new manager

Heartland which failed to retain its position at the just concluded NPFL season was among the four clubs that were dropped to the Nigeria National League (NNL) at the end of the 2023/2024 football season

Amuneke, a former coach of the Tanzania national team was unveiled on Monday by the Imo state governor, Hope Uzodimma at his office.

The 53-year-old’s last managerial stint was with Egyptian club Misr Lel-Makkasa where he served until February 2021.

.There are reports that the Owerri club are in talks with newly promoted Beyond Limits Academy to purchase their NPFL slot at the cost N40m.
