Anambra 2021 Gov’ship Election: Why I Chose APGA- Nwankpo

“When I look at the Constitution of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, I realized it is the only party that defines the right of a harmonious part of Nigeria to live within the Constitution of Nigeria in a way to maintain its own identity”

These were the words of High Chief Sullivan Akachukwu Nwankpo, a Governorship aspirant, under the platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA.

The 2021 Governorship election is slated to take place on the 6th of November.

Nwankpo disclosed this while briefing newsmen at his country home, Okija, Ihiala local government area, Anambra State.

He revealed that one of his reasons he chose APGA was because the party recognized the ethnicity of Igbo People and would always function within Nigeria in a way that would remove nothing in the Igboness.

“So the party defines an agenda that enables an Igbo person to exist harmoniously with other tribes within Nigeria.

“They believe in one cultural disposition, one religious center and one political authority.”

Mr Nwankpo noted that APGA had achieved huge pillars of development within 16 years and must be continued.

“My first contact with APGA was when my boss, former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, was running for presidency and the party in my state, APGA had no presidential candidate and adopted Jonathan as their candidate.

“When we came to Onitsha for campaign, Jonathan praised Anambra state for their support. Along the line, he presented me to the people of the state as their very unique child. He raised my hand.

“It was a political rally that was jointly organised by PDP and APGA.

“So I have known APGA as a party that loves what is good. So I developed a personal relationship with the party.

“Governor Willie Obiano has achieved tremendous successes within this period of his governance.

“He has recorded legacy projects that will forever project the state to limelight and boost the economy of the state.

“The International conference center, the airport City, and other monumental projects he is embarking on, will transform the state and make Anambra self sufficient”
