Governor Willie Obiano has voted in the ongoing governorship election in the South-East state.
The governor alongside his wife, Ebelechukwu Obiano, voted around 9:25 am at their polling unit located inside Eri Primary School, Polling Unit 004, Otuocha Ward Ward 1, Aguleri in Anambra East Local Government Area.
Speaking to reporters after exercising his civic duty, the governor applauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for starting the election early.
The governor also commended security operatives for maintaining peace so far, urging them not to intimidate voters.
Obiano, however, admonished eligible voters to come out and perform their civic duty without fear.
He said: “I ask Anambra people to come out and vote. Everywhere is peaceful. Come out and vote”
