To whom much is given much is expected. It was a moment of joy as teachers of Holy Innocent school Nnewi, Anambra State gathered at campus two premises Uruagu, Nnewi Courtesy of the proprietress Mrs Njideka Ibenezim for teachers appreciation day.
The proprietress, Mrs Njideka Ibenezim said she decided to celebrate with the teachers and to appreciate them for their selfless efforts to propel the school to a forefront.
The big mummy of HYIT as fondly called disclosed that her teachers have worked for a whole of this year with dedication and she decided to appreciate them for work well done.
Mrs Ibenezim continued to advise the teachers to work with passion because they are building future leaders.
“though the work is strenuous but putting it handwork and smiling face will make it enjoyable because it is rewarding” she added
She revealed that that Holy Innocent school started in January 1989 when there was prolonged strike action which according to her made children to be roaming the streets for years without going to school.
“Passionately, I decided to start up a school to take them in ,teach them and train them up” she said
She stated that there were challenges but God took care of everything.
Mrs Ibenezim affirmed that Holy Innocent school have produced reliable Citizens in the country and diaspora.
“We have produced not less than 20 to 30 medical doctors, engineers and even lawyers which two of my children were part of it” She added
She continued to reaffirm that HYIT have produced renowned people in the society and even well to do businessmen.
She ended by praying that God will bless and keep the teachers and HYIT families all over the world.
Mrs Meka Ogechi, the principal of the school shown her gratitude to God Almighty and to the school.
She said that God used big mummy of HYIT to bless the teachers by giving them gifts which made them to wear smiling faces despite the economy.
Mrs Meka described Mrs Ibenezim the proprietress as a woman that have created great impact in their lives.
“I bless God for bringing me to the school” she added
She encouraged the teachers to work with all their hearts and be passionate not to count the money.
Mrs Ojukwu Adaolisa ,the vice principal campus one expressed her joy for the gifts and pray that God will continue to bless and replenish her pocket as she surprised her teachers.
