APGA primary: Soludo defeats other aspirants, emerges winner

Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has won the All Progressives Grand Alliance’s primary election by a landslide.

Professor Soludo secured the coveted victory after defeating three other contestants with 740 votes out of a total of 792 votes cast.
Closest rival closest, the member representing Orumba North and South at the House of Representatives, Honourable Okwudili Ezenwankwo secured 41 votes to emerge second.
Two other contestants, Sir Damian Okolo and Chief Thankgod Ibeh got 7 and 4 votes respectively.
With the current result, Professor Soludo has become APGA’s standard-bearer for the November 6 governorship poll in Anambra State.
812 delegates turned out for the primary election with 795 of them accredited.
