The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has passed a vote of confidence on its governorship candidate, Prof. Charles Soludo, as the November 6 Anambra State governorship election draws closer. This took place during the party’s rally at Abagana, the headquarters of Njikoka Local Government Area. Addressing the crowd, Governor Willie Obiano reassured the party’s supporters of a landslide victory at the poll, stressing that his administration would ensure that adequate security is provided on election day.
“Do not be afraid as what happened in my second term election will happen again on November 6. Just come out in your numbers to cast your votes. “We have structures that will always campaign for us. The Anambra International Passenger/ Cargo Airport, the International Convention Centre and the Awka Stadium are our major legacies that will continue to boost the economy of the state.
“Come out to cast and protect your votes. Soludo is the best among all the candidates. He is a good manager, who managed the financial institution of the country,’’ Gov. Obiano said. National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Oye, said the party would remain strong, irrespective of challenges confronting it. Prof. Soludo in his address, vowed to implement all his campaign promises as enshrined in his manifesto. Also, the member representing Njikoka, Dunukofia and Anaocha Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Dozie Nwankwo, debunked the allegation that he had defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Rep. Nwankwo restated that his loyalty remains with APGA and its governorship flagbearer, adding that “we will win this election.
We will embark on a door to door campaign as we have been doing in every election. I never planned to defect to another party, irrespective of the pressures. I am still loyal to Gov. Obiano.
