The Nigerian Army says its troops have recorded major operational successes across multiple theatres, neutralising eight terrorists, arresting 51 suspects, and rescuing 27 kidnap victims between November 29 and December 1, 2025.
In an update shared via its official Facebook page on Tuesday, the Army said ambush and clearance missions by the 151, 152, and 192 Battalions in Borno State resulted in the killing of four ISWAP/JAS fighters and the recovery of weapons, ammunition, and communication gear.
Across Plateau, Taraba, Benue, Kogi, and Kaduna States, troops under Operation Whirl Stroke and Operation Enduring Peace rescued several victims and arrested kidnappers, traffickers, illegal miners, extremist collaborators, and drug suspects.
The Army revealed that 20 victims were freed in the North Central and North West zones alone, while in Taraba, troops neutralised four violent extremists during a response to a communal clash in Karim Lamido.
Troops also recovered 76 rustled cattle in Plateau and arrested suspected cultists in Delta State, while anti-oil theft operations shut down an illegal refinery containing about 1,000 litres of stolen crude in the South-South.
A notable breakthrough was the arrest of a gunrunner, Shuaibu Isah, intercepted while attempting to receive 1,000 rounds of ammunition.
The Army reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining pressure on criminal groups nationwide, insisting that terrorists and their collaborators “will find no safe haven.”
