Nasarawa State House of Assembly has approved Governor Abdullahi Sule’s request to appoint additional five Special Advisers in his administration.
Speaker of the Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, announced on Monday, during an emergency seating of the Lawmakers at the Conference Hall of the State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Lafia, the State Capital.
According to him, the request of the governor was given accelerated approval due to the governor’s desire to inject more competent hands into his administration to assist in effecting the policies and programmes of his government.
The Speaker who thanked his colleagues for their contributions during the deliberation on the subject matter expressed optimism that the appointees would contribute their quota towards the smooth running of the APC led administration in the State.
Earlier, while presenting the governor’s request to the Members, the Majority leader of the House, Umar Tanko Tunga (APC Awe North Constituency) said the proposed appointees when given the chance would assist the governor in moving the State forward.
The leader who moved for the acceptance of the request was seconded by Danladi Jatau, (APC Kokona West Constituency).
It would be recalled that the Governor recently appointed some Special Advisers into his administration following the approval by the Lawmakers.
By this approval, the State governor now has a total of 20 Special Advisers who will assist him in the day to day running of his administration.
