The Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, Daniel Kritenbrink will today commence his diplomatic tour to the People’s Republic of China and New Zealand.
In a statement from the Office of the Spokesperson, U.S Department of State, Matthew Miller, on Saturday 3 June 2023. The travel will span six days from June 4th –10th.
In Beijing, Assistant Secretary Kritenbrink, will be joined by National Security Council Senior Director for China and Taiwan Affairs Sarah Beran, to discuss key issues in the bilateral relationship.
Away from the People’s Republic of China, Kritenbrink will make a stop-over in Auckland, New Zealand, to speak at the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs Conference.
In Wellington, Assistant Secretary Kritenbrink will participate in the U.S -New Zealand Strategic Dialogue to discuss issues affecting both countries like climate change, technology, economic and security cooperation, and shared commitment to the Pacific.
