A Chief Accountant with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Mr. Thomas Tikyaa, was on Sunday reportedly kidnapped by persons suspected to be bandits in Benue State.
NTA Zonal Director in the state, Mr Pam Dung Nyam, told newsmen on Monday, that the victim, Tikyaa, was recently transferred to Onitsha.
Pam, in a statement made available to journalists on Monday in Makurdi also revealed that the victim is an indigene of Benue State.
He further informed that the victim was kidnapped between Ugbokolo and Otukpa on Sunday, the 17 September, 2023 at about 10p:m.
Mr. Pam added that the victim was travelling in a mass transit bus to visit his family when the ugly incident occurred.
He therefore enjoined law enforcement agents do everything humanly possible to ensure the captive is set free.
The Zonal Director disclosed that the family of the victim were thrown into condition of agony as his children were no longer sleeping with two eyes close as result continued captivity.
