Benue: Austin Oleho calls for unconditional release of Ediga Ella, decries rising cases of kidnapping in Otukpo

Frontline Senatorial contender for the Benue South Senatorial District under the All Progressives Congress APC, Engr Austin Oleho has called for the immediate and unconditional release and safe return to their families of Ediga Ella and two others kidnapped by men of the underworld in Otukpo.

Mr Ella, according to available preliminary investigation was kidnapped along Ochiba avenue Upu road, Otukpo at about 8:00 pm last night along with an elderly woman and a young boy.

He reiterated that acts such as this constitutes a grave violation of the rights of the victims and human rights more broadly.

He stressed that citizens must enjoy freedom of movement and association without fear of violence.

While calling on the relevant authorities including security agencies to expedite action on their rescue, Engr. Oleho noted that these kinds of crimes must not be allowed to continue unabated in our communities.

He assured the family that, that his entire team is not just standing with them in this trying moment, but will do all within its resources to ensure their release. He further urged the abductors to turn a new leaf as the law will catch up with them in the shortest possible time.
