A pastor in a Daudu, a Local Government Area in Benue State has been murdered. The late pastor, Uhemba Jacob was kidnapped, taken to an unknown destination and thereafter murdered after an angry mob burnt down his house, church and properties in the state, New National Star reports.
It can be earlier recalled that, angry youths stormed out to protest about the ongoing cases of missing penis in the local government area.
Olikita Ekani, a media aide to the state governor, Samuel Ortom confirmed that pastor Jacob was murdered. in his words ‘’in cold blood for a sin, he knew nothing about and buried his body in a shallow grave, his only sin was that he was making rapid progress.’’
‘’His spirit will continue to torment those murderers who perpetrated this dastardly act and Daudu will remain a cursed land until his killers are brought to justice.’’
‘’A people whose hands are stained with the blood of the innocent will never make progress.’’
Meanwhile, residents of the state took to the streets on Sunday to demand justice for the murdered cleric.
Also, it was observed that no arrest has been made over the incident yet.
