Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue state, Senator Bananas Gemade, has appealed to the the the citizens of the state to support Governor Hyacinth Alia towards achieving his laudable programmes and vision for the state.
Senator Gemade made this appeal on Sunday at the thanksgiving/reception service on the conferment of chieftaincy title as “Akinde U Mbavaa” on Solomon Iorpev Technical Adviser and Publicity Communication strategist to the Governor, at Tse-Agberagba in Konshisha Local Government
Gemade, who was chairman of the occasion, noted that Solomon Iorpev is son of the soil who is a top government functionary in the present dispensation, adding that he was being honoured for his resilience towards enhancing conducive development in his Community.
He however restated that all the previous administration who had ruled the state benefitted two tenure of eight years, stressing that the current dispensation cannot be an exception.
He assured the chieftaincy title recipient that he will continue to stand by him to serve the governor effectively and encouraged him to remain resolute in his assignment.
In a remark, Permanent Secretary Government House Administration Mr. Bartholomew Ageraga advised the young people respect elders and desist from insulting leaders on the social media space.
Similarly, General Superintendent Full Gospel Rival Crusade Incorporated Nigeria, Reverend Tom Igyah, said God plant his people in places to achieve his mission and advised Mr Iorpev to live by his purpose.
In his closing remarks, Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Benue State Council Comrade Bemdoo Ugber stated this honoured is timely urging the people rally round him for future benefits of the youths and others at large.
