Brazil fan leaves everything to Neymar in Will

Published

on

Not everyone would consider leaving all they own to a wealthy football star, but one Brazilian fan just did…

The anonymous fan could not think of a more deserving recipient of his worldly goods than Neymar Jr. of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Beyond his love for the Brazilian football tradition and the national team, he claimed that Neymar was someone he could relate to, which prompted him to include the Brazil striker’s name in his will.

“I like Neymar, I identify with him a lot. I also suffer with defamation, I am also very family-oriented and the relationship with his father reminds me a lot of mine with my father, who has passed away,” the fan said in an interview.

“I am not in very good health and, because of that, I really saw that I don’t have anyone to leave my things to… I wouldn’t want the government or relatives I don’t get along with to take my things.”

The 30-year-old continued by saying that he had previously made fruitless attempts to hand the Brazilian international his assets.

But he pointed out that the will was a legal way to do so and the document was signed by a notary’s office in Porto Alegre.

PSG’s Neymar is one of the world’s best-paid sportsmen, with estimated earnings of 85 million dollars for 2023, according to Forbes.

“I know that, above all, he is not greedy, something a bit rare these days,” the fan said.

The state’s mood is reminiscent of an election day, with the roadways noticeably empty and the Nigeria Police Force not in evidence.

Speaking on Friday, Governor Fubara reiterated his resolve to see the election through to the end, even in light of the Rivers State Police Command’s decision to step down from election oversight.

The governor charged that Kayode Egbetokun, the Inspector General of Police, was trying to sabotage the election in order to support “an Abuja-based politician.”

The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, or RSIEC, urged citizens to use their right to vote in compliance with the Electoral Act’s requirements and stressed that the election will go forward as scheduled.
