President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the former deputy governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore and his entire family, over the demise of their beloved father and Olu of Ayepe-Olode, Oba David Omisore.
The traditional ruler died of an unknown cause on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at the age of 90.
Joining the league of others in mourning, President Buhari in a statement issued by his spokesman, Femi Adesina on Monday, prayed God to comfort the bereaved family.
Omisore is said to have dedicated his life to serving the people of Ife before the glorious call.
The well-respected traditional ruler has been hailed by many for providing leadership with dignity, love and respect when it mattered most.
In his condolence message, President Buhari expressed confidence that the Omisore family, friends and associates will continue to honour the departed patriarch’s avowed commitment to peaceful settlement of disputes and promoting harmony among different ethnic groups.
