Nigeria’s representative in the Champions League, Rivers United, will have another opportunity to turn the table against Al Hilal of Sudan as the second leg will take place on a neutral ground.
The home ground of Al Hilal in Sudan failed to secure the approval of the African soccer governing body and Al Hilal will have to play their home game away from home. Before the first leg in Nigeria, Al Hilal ran a closed camp in Cairo, Egypt and they returned to the country(Egypt) on Tuesday in readiness for the second leg match.
The Sudanese club have the upper hand after they played a 1-1 draw in the first leg match played at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port-Harcourt. The second leg match is slated for this weekend and the winners will proceed to the group stage of the competition.
