In the spirit of celebration, the Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, has admonished Nigerians to embrace the values of kindness, generosity, and unity that embodies the essence of Christmas.
Prince Audu stated this while felicitating the Christian faithful as they join the world in celebrating Christmas, according to the statement made available by Lizzy Okoji, Special Assistant to the Minister on Media.
He said that beyond the festivity and merriment, the commemoration of Christmas presents an opportunity for Nigerians to show love to one another, irrespective of religious differences. It is also a time to build a peaceful and united nation.
He continued to enjoin Nigerians to pray for the peace, unity, and progress of the country, the President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, and all those in positions of leadership across the country.
Prince Audu who urged Nigerians to appreciate the significance of Christmas, particularly the birth of Jesus Christ, which brings joy, hope, love, and peace to mankind, reaffirmed the ministry’s committed to bringing hope to every Nigerian, working assiduously for the revival of the nation’s steel industry.
“As we approach this joyous season, I want to take a moment to wish all Nigerians a very Merry Christmas filled with love, peace, and happiness. This time of year is not only a celebration of the festive period, but it also gives us an opportunity to reflect on our achievements and the bonds that unite us as a nation.
“In the spirit of togetherness, let us embrace the values of kindness, generosity, and unity that embodies the essence of Christmas.
“May this holiday season bring joy to our homes and strength to our communities as we continue to work together towards a prosperous and resilient Nigeria.
“I encourage everyone to spread joy and goodwill and to remember those in need through acts of service and compassion. Let us embrace the magic of this season and look forward to a new year filled with hope and possibilities.
“Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!” the Minister stated.
