Constitution amendment: South-West governors, Senators, Reps set up Committee to come up with position

The South-West governors, Senators and members of the House of Representing in a meeting on Tuesday in Abuja set up Committee to come up with the position of the region on the ongoing constitution review.

Briefing the press shortly after a two hours meeting in Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, Ondo State governor Rotimi Akeredolu said their meeting was held in respect of the ongoing constitution review.

According to him, “we have set up a committee comprised of the Senate caucus leader and the House caucus leader as well as all the South West autonomies to come up with the position of the region before the two chambers of the National Assembly will finish their legislative work.”

The meeting which was convened by the Leadership of the South West Caucus in the National Assembly was well attended by the governors and federal legislators from the region.
