Mr. Emmanuel Chiemezuo Nwokedi, a corps member has paid in good turn his while at the primary place of assignment (PPA) in Otun Ekiti. Nwokedi donated to his PPA a four-unit public toilet at Otun central market after the completion of his service year in October.
In a news release made available to New National Star, Nwokedi who served as corp members liaison officer (CLO), used the resources at his disposal to build the toilet blocks rendering great service to ‘his fatherland and mankind in general.’
Nwokedi, in his address at the launching of the public toilet, said, “My stay in this town was memorable. As a corp members liaison officer, I was privileged to work with stakeholders in the Local Govt and I can authoritatively say that there are only a few people that love Moba more than the Oore of Moba land; Oba Adekunle Adeagbo.”
He acknowledged the efforts of His Royal Majesty, Oba Adekunle Adeagbo, Oore of Otun Ekiti in ensuring that solar-powered street lights at the central market in Moba land and his continuous support of corps members serving in the village.
“His consistent support for corps members serving in the local council has encouraged many corps members including me to embark on programmes and projects that are beneficial to the community. His exemplary leadership motivated me to build a four-room toilet for the people at the central market Otun.”
He lauded the monarch’s exemplary advocacy against rape and female genital mutilation as well as being a patron of the charity and gender National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Community Development Service (CDS) group. Nwokedi’s contribution was appreciated by the community.
