COVID 19: Nigeria Records 179 New Cases

A total of 179 new cases of COVID-19 infections has been confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) for Wednesday, October 14. This has brought the total of confirmed novel coronavirus cases to 60, 834 out of which 52,143 people have survived and been discharged.

In the breakdown, Lagos State had a total of 116 new cases, Anambra 20, FCT Abuja 9, Oyo 9, Rivers 9, Delta 3, Nasarawa 3, Edo 2, Kaduna 2, Ogun 2, Plateau 2, Ekiti 1 and Osun 1.

No new death was confirmed.

Although the Federal Government warned about an increase in new cases of COVID-19 the difference between Tuesday and Wednesday cases remains significant with the latter having fewer cases.

The Federal Ministry of Health advises that social distancing and other safety directives be taken seriously.
