Enugu State Ministry of Health has warned the people of the State to wary that the global pandemic was still around and be not deceived that it was all over.
In a recent release, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Anthony Ikechukwu Obi, the government advised the populace not to be deceived that the threat was over but to align with all CDC regulations as there had been new cases in the state.
He disclosed that recently, there has been new cases such as the ones of 7th December 2020 – 12 cases, 8th December 2029 cases, 9th December 2020 – 2 cases., Cumulative cases for Enugu State since the outbreak.
New discharges: included, 8th December 2020 – 5, Cumulative discharges – 1313, New death: 0 (Nil), Cumulative deaths – 21, Number of active cases – 21, Public Health Advisory:
People were still advised to continue to protect themselves against COVID-19 by avoiding large gatherings, not embarking on non-essential travels; covering their mouths and noses when coughing and sneezing; wearing face masks especially when in public places and washing their hands regularly with soap under running water or using alcohol-based hand sanitizers when running water and soap are not readily available.
